Hydraulic Excavators
L&T markets hydraulic excavators manufactured by L&T-Komatsu Limited, a joint venture with Komatsu Limited, Japan. The range comprises Models L&T-72, L&T-90-3, L&T-180, L&T-300-2 and L&T-Komatsu PC200-6. Models L&T-72 and L&T-90 are available in crawler and tyre versions while L&T-90 and L&T-300 are available in diesel and electric versions. L&T-Komatsu PC200-6 is the latest model in the 20t hydraulic excavator class.

Manufacturing facility
L&T-Komatsu's manufacturing facility - the Bangalore Works - comprises Machinery Works and Hydraulics Works. Machinery Works has a modern manufacturing facility with ISO 9001 accreditation for design, manufacture and servicing of earthmoving equipment. Hydraulics Works, with a precision machine shop, manufactures the complete range of high pressure hydraulic components and systems, and is ISO 9001 certified for hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, turning joints, hose assemblies, valve blocks, hydraulic systems and power drives as well as allied gear boxes. L&T-Komatsu is certified under Environmental Management System ISO 14001.

L&T-Komatsu was awarded the Commendation Certificate for strong commitment to TQM in pursuance of Business Excellence for the year 2000. This award is instituted by CII and Exim Bank. This plant has earlier won the Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award - 1997 instituted by BIS in the 'Best of All' category.

L&T-Komatsu has introduced Komatsu's latest models of excavators while continuing to manufacture the L&T Series excavators.
